Take a look at how seamlessly Total Sono integrates into your OB/GYN office to provide high quality ultrasound services the SAME DAY as a patient’s regularly scheduled OB/GYN appointment.

The physician counsels/consults with pregnant patients or gynecology patients to determine whether ultrasound services are needed.
If it’s determined that ultrasound services are needed, the patient is directed to the Total Sono reception desk, which is located within their OB/GYN office.
Total Sono assumes full responsibility for the prior authorization process. This includes contacting the patients’ insurance provider to ensure that ultrasound services are covered. It also involves finding out what the patient co-pay is and discussing financial options with the patient in the event that ultrasound isn’t covered. All of this is part of our commitment to patient care and satisfaction!
After completing the prior authorization process, the patient is taken back to the exam room for their ultrasound scan. All of our ultrasound scans are performed by our highly skilled team of ultrasound technologists, who are certified by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM), the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), and are Nuchal Translucency (NT) certified. This means you and your patients can have more confidence knowing that your ultrasounds are being handled by highly trained professionals who are held to a higher standard of care.
After an ultrasound is performed, the scans are read by a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) doctor. Ultrasound reports are returned to OB/GYN offices within 24 hours.
